It goes without saying that we love Sheffield. There are so many restaurants, bars, parks and great things to do in and around the city – we are truly spoilt!

If you’re new here, you might be feeling a little overwhelmed by all the options, so we wanted to help you out by recommending our favourite places to eat, drink and things to do so you can get on with enjoying your new city. 

Eating out 

 

• Voted Best Food Hall in the UK by British Street Food Awards, Cutlery Works should be top of your list. No need to argue with your mates over where to eat, instead enjoy the variety of vendors including pizza, burgers, sushi and more. 
• For cool coffee culture vibes, it’s got to be Tamper. Serving up a variety of all-day brunch dishes, tacos and burgers (not to mention the incredible coffee and cakes that are on offer) this Kiwi-inspired café is a must-visit. 
• If you’re looking for somewhere a little fancier – perhaps your family are coming to visit? Look no further than Domo, a gorgeous Sardinian restaurant in Kelham, just a short stroll from the city centre. 

 

Drinks

 

• Bottomless brunch is always a favourite, and we love that The Furnace offers a ‘build your own brunch board’. Customise your meal with a selection of Turkish eggs, pork bao buns, mini hash browns and more. In Summer, definitely make the most of cocktails on the terrace. 
• Public is quite literally a hidden gem, set below Sheffield Town Hall. The uber-cool bar presents a wide variety of cocktails, all carefully curated with maximum customer satisfaction in mind. 
• For great cocktails at great prices, Bungalows and Bears is the place to be. Located on Division Street, you’re surrounded by Sheffield’s best and busiest bars ready to head to afterwards. 

 

 Things to do 

 

• For the ones with a competitive streak, Golf Fang is a must-visit. The crazy golf venue boasts 18 holes, a selection of cocktails and super cool décor in each room, sure to keep you and your friends entertained. Just remember to keep score!
• Catch a film at Showroom, an independent cinema located across from Sheffield Hallam Student’s Union. Showing handpicked films and events in the heart of the city, this is a great venue to enjoy and support – they serve great food, too. 
• Famously the greenest city in Europe, Sheffield boasts a variety of outdoor spaces to enjoy – make the most of the Sheffield Botanical Gardens, Devonshire Green or venture out for a walk in the Peak District.
